This news took me (Brently) hard last night. "Mom" was like everybody's Mom at the Pub. She was a very kind woman who always had time to talk. I got an email from Dave and along with the pictures, this is what he had to say...
My Mommy, Judith Margaret dillinger b.
12/30/44 new york, new york, d. 5/9/03 st.joseph, missouri of cervical cancer.
She lived a wonderful life. She loved her children and grandchildren more than
anything on earth. Her friends were many and varied and spanned the spectrum,
and they were there for her in her time of need and for that I am very grateful.
Funeral arrangements will be made with Heaton Bowman Smith in St. Joseph, MO.
We're going to try for Wednesday, 5/14 in the afternoon. She loved the world
and just about everyone she met loved her, too. She is out of pain and in a
better place. "There are more than angels watching over me. I believe,
yes I believe." She didn't want anyone to be sad and maudlin. She wanted
her life to be celebrated. There will be an impromptu wake at the Felix Street
Pub, 516 Felix in St. Joseph, MO on Saturday, May 10 after 9:00 pm, where she
was known as the "Pub Mom".
I love you all. Please celebrate my mother's life in spirit, if you cannot be
present.
